All BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Dominance/Submission, Sadism/Masochism) is kinky, but not all kink is BDSM. We understand “kink” to mean “any activity which uses structures of play to derive pleasure from what is typically undesirable.”

Dungeons & Dragons recently turned 50 years old, but roleplaying games are as old as society and culture itself. We believe that there is transformative potential in the sacred acts of social play and narrative creation.

Though the DSM represents a fraught aspect of the mental health industrial complex, it is here used as a shorthand for healing frameworks writ large. We center our exploration of kink and play in the service of psychosocial wellness and social justice.
